Inspiration Quote #1:
“Kindness is invincible, but only when it’s sincere, with no hypocrisy or faking. So what can even the most malicious person do if you keep showing kindness and, if given the chance, you gently point out where they went wrong – right as they are trying to harm you?” – Marcus Aurelius
For me this means that no matter how you are treated, it is completely up to you what your response is. You can retaliate accordingly, or you can react differently. What would happen if you met mean and cruel behavior with kindness? What would happen if you tried to practice loving your enemies, doing good to those who hate you. What do you think??
Inspiration Quote #2:
“It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another, without helping himself.” – John P. Webster
Inspiration Quote #3:
The world is a great mirror. It reflects back to you what you are. If you are loving, if you are friendly, If you are helpful, the world will prove loving and friendly and helpful to you. The world is what you are. – Thomas Dryer
Inspiration Quote #4:
“Stop wandering about! You aren’t likely to read your own notebooks, or ancient histories, or the old anthologies you’ve collected in your old age. Get busy with life’s purpose, toss aside empty hopes, get active in your own rescue – if you care for yourself at all – and do it while you can” – Marcus Aurelius
There are many people who take refuge in reading and learning… all with the goal of having a better life. And all that information and knowledge might indeed bring some happiness and comfort. But in order to be truly fulfilled and happy, you must take action. Live your life. Go out and make choices… right choices or wrong choices. Just make them and learn from them… move forward… constantly. While you still have the time and energy to do so.
Inspiration Quote #5:
If you find it in your heart to care for somebody else, you will have succeeded. – Maya Angelou
Inspiration Quote #6:
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it’s the only thing that ever has. – Margaret Mead
Inspiration Quote #7:
“Don’t trust in your reputation, money, or position, but in the strength that is yours – namely, your judgments about the things that you control and don’t control. For this alone is what makes us free and unfettered, that picks us up by the neck from the depths and lifts us eye to eye with the rich and powerful.” – Epictetus
This is how you can become powerful!!!
Inspiration Quote #8:
“Pessimism leads to weakness, optimism to power” – William James
Inspiration Quote #9:
Miracles happen to those who believe in them. – Bernard Berenson
Inspiration Quote #10:
If I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it, even if I may not have it at the beginning. – Mahatma Gandhi
Inspiration Quote #11:
“To the youngster quoting nonsense Zeno said “the reason why we have two ears and only one mouth is that we might listen more and talk less” – Diogenes Laertes
Dad used to say this to me all the time. “Talk less, listen more… in other words…shut up!!”… nuff said.
Inspiration Quote #12:
Make your plans as fantastic as you like, because 25 years from now, they will seem mediocre. Make your plans 10 times as great as your first planned, and 25 years from now you’ll wonder why you did not make them 50 times is great. – Henry Curtis
Inspiration Quote #13:
An optimist as a person who sees a green-light everywhere, well the pessimist sees only the red stoplight … The truly wise person is colorblind. – Albert Schweitzer
Inspiration Quote #14:
There is no vice which lacks a defense, none that at the outset isn’t modest and easily intervened – But after this the trouble spreads widely. If you allow it to get started, you won’t be able to control when it stops. Every emotion is at first weak. Later it rouses itself and gathers strength as it moves along – it’s easier to slow it down than to supplant it. – Seneca
I think all this means is this = Solve a problem as soon as you can. If you leave problems to grow, then they just become worse, and then even un-correctable. And then you have a run-away train on your hands.
